I shoot what I notice
I've spent over a decade learning how to pay attention.
Since 2013, photography has been my way of slowing down — of noticing the details that most people miss. That same instinct shows up everywhere else I work: in the emergency medicine classroom, where I've spent 8 years teaching future EMTs to really listen to their patients, and on my podcast, I Am Consciously Curious, where I've spent 6 years sitting with people and asking them what makes them who they are.
What I've learned from all of it is simple: everyone is more interesting than they think they are. My job is just to find the angle where that becomes obvious.
